Dental Practice Act Certification Course
Overview
This dental board approved course on dental practice act has been developed to ensure the unlicensed dental assistant understands their role and the regulations and laws governing their position in the dental practice.
Curriculum
This course is 100% online and includes two (2) hours of instruction in the following topic areas:
Regulatory requirements for DAs to work in dental offices without a license to practice Dentistry
Basic overview of the Dental Practice Act (DPA)
Laws and regulations involving the scope of practice for all levels of Dental Assistants
Understand the responsibility of all Dental Assistants in knowing regulations and laws governing their position in the dental practice
Course Materials Needed
A Google email will be required to access online content. Students may use an existing gmail or create a free account; please use this email upon registration/checkout.
Laptop/Desktop with internet access to complete online portion of course (LMS; Google Classroom)
Registration
Students will receive confirmation of their registration and access to our learning management software, Google Classroom, following purchase. Students will have only seven (7) days of access to Google Classroom in order to complete the course. Follow instructions provided in order to obtain the necessary Certificate of Course Completion necessary to meet compliance.
