Our specialty course is for anyone struggling with intraoral digital sensor radiography. The transition from traditional film to digital sensor requires a strong knowledge of angulation, placement technique and maintaining patient comfort while still adhering to the ADA Standards for producing a diagnosable image.
The course objectives are:
- Stressing the importance of image receptor placement
- Demonstration of proper techniques in angulation
- Demonstration of the use of film holders for a more successful image
- Knowledge of the ways corrective techniques can prevent re-takes
This course is limited to four (4) students per session – we will offer two sessions per date (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). Each session is a separate class; interested participants are encouraged to review the details of each course listing to ensure accurate date and time (session).
Licensed participants will receive four (4) units of CE for attending the course. This course is only available to those already certified or licensed in the state for Radiation Safety (unlicensed assistants with certification, RDAs, RDAEFs and RDHs). Participants are required to bring to class a copy of their state board license or Radiation Safety Certification.
